The Program for this District Event was all about BIRDS!
The speaker was Joe Halton, who has been teaching birding courses for the Skagit Audubon Society & the Senior College since moving to Anacortes from Texas in 2001. Joe has had over 20 years of birding experience throughout the West & Southwest. Included in his birding activities are writing & photography, some of which can be viewed at his birding blog: joehalt.blogspot.com
He spoke on the many ways to attract birds to your yard by way of Habitat: Water, Food and Shelter. He had many suggestions on the best water system and many forms of food and bird feeders. Below are a few of his recommended bird feeders:
